Sociality Squared is headed to Brandemonium 2019 next week! The world’s premier branding and marketing conference takes place October 1 – October 4 in Cincinnati, OH, the city where branding all began. This is the third year for the conference and its new home will be at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.
Sociality Squared has been involved in the conference since its outset with our CEO Helen Todd serving as advisor or the S2 team running social and the social media volunteer program or S2 hosting an S2 Exchange dinner. Every year Helen speaks on stage, whether it’s about “The Cultural Pendulum Swings from Individualism to Community” or on the panel “How to Keep Your Brand Relevant in a 3-Second World.”
This year Helen will speak on Wednesday, October 2 from 2:15 PM-3:00 PM in the Rue Reolon room. Her presentation is titled “The Content of Brand Character.”
Today, marketers create content for the plethora of channels we promote brands on. This session will ask the audience to take a step back and examine the content of brand character itself. Are brand values aligned and integrated into every fiber of the companies touting them? We know social networks like Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube can be damaging to people’s health, but are we having real conversations about them and what we can do? At Brandemonium, Helen will begin a discussion around brand integrity and the voice marketers have in the current landscape so our intentions match our impact.
We’re also looking forward to learning from and networking with the biggest and most disruptive brands in the world. Keynotes this year include Tim Ellis, EVP, Chief Marketing Officer for the National Football League, Eric Lloyd, Industry Manager CPG Food & Beverage for Facebook, and Khartoon Weiss, Global Head of Verticals for Spotify.
Other sessions we’ll be checking out and recommend include:
- “A Youth Quake is Coming” with Jey Van-Sharp and Winston Peters of MyÜberLife
- “Clarity Through Creativity: Drawing out Your Visual Stories” by Heather Willems
- “When the Math Men meet the Mad Men: Storytelling in the Machine Age” by Eric Solomon
- “Everything And Anything In Between: The Great Gender Dismantling Is Changing The Soul Of Branding” by Dipanjan Chatterjee.
