Interview: Dominique Miniaci from Spirit Jump talks about Cards for Cancer

Mark your calendars for Cards for Cancer Day on April 10 where cards will be delivered to cancer centers around the world. The idea comes from Spirit Jump, a new non-profit using Facebook to spread its mission. Watch our interview where Executive Director Dominique Miniaci talks about the traction that Cards for Cancer has seen on Facebook. The page launched just this year and already has over 7,000 fans solely from organic growth. My favorite aspect is how Spirit Jump bridges offline community-building with its Facebook presence by encouraging fans to host card making parties and then to share their experiences on the fan page. This is a great example of how a non-profit is taking advantage of Facebook to meet its goals and build a community around its cause.

Spirit Jump’s goal for its first ever Cards for Cancer Day is to deliver 100,000 cards and everyone at fbadz.com is cheering them on in reaching this goal and bringing hope and comfort to those battling cancer. Watch the interview to learn more:
